As the Director of AI for Provider Network, you will lead the initiative to embed AI across the Claritev's provider network, unlocking new value across one of the largest healthcare ecosystems in the country.
This role is not about incremental optimization—it is about building from first principles: defining how AI transforms provider engagement, network intelligence, and payment workflows at scale. You will spearhead the evolution of our AI capabilities, leveraging generative AI and advanced analytics to move from experimentation to production-grade solutions.
You will drive R&D, architect AI-powered products, and shape the long-term AI strategy for a space with significant untapped potential, while mentoring talent and establishing best-in-class practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Build AI for Claritev's Provider Network: Lead the design and deployment of AI solutions across Claritev's provider network, identifying high-impact use cases in a largely untapped space.
- Enhance AI Operations: Leverage generative AI to streamline development workflows, accelerate experimentation, and enable scalable deployment.
- Lead R&D Efforts: Drive applied research to develop reusable components, frameworks, and best practices tailored to provider network intelligence and healthcare payments.
- AI Product Innovation: Partner with business and network stakeholders to identify and launch net-new AI-driven products and capabilities.
- Program Leadership: Own end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives—from concept through production—within a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate complex provider network dynamics into actionable AI opportunities through close cross-functional engagement.
- Ethical AI/ML Practices: Ensure solutions are transparent, compliant, and aligned with responsible AI standards, particularly within healthcare contexts.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor's in a quantitative field; Master's or PhD preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years in Data Science / AI
- 5+ years in R&D or advanced analytics innovation
- Experience building 0→1 AI products or platforms, ideally in ambiguous or greenfield environments
- 3+ years mentoring or managing technical talent
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in modeling, algorithms, and statistical methods
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI/GenAI ecosystems
- Experience operationalizing AI systems at scale
Domain & Strategic Skills
- Ability to identify high-value opportunities in complex systems (e.g., provider networks, payments, or marketplaces)

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $210K to $230K. Specific compensation offers are determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's education, experience, skills, work location, and internal equity considerations In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan.
