Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) to design, develop, and lead scalable data engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in ADF pipelines, Azure data ecosystem, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data processing, along with leadership capabilities to guide teams and deliver enterprise data platforms.

This role requires ownership of data pipeline architecture, performance optimization, data integration, and cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Build and manage complex ADF pipelines, triggers, datasets, and integration runtimes.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and cloud systems.
• Architect and manage data lakes and warehouses using ADLS and Synapse Analytics.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement batch and real-time data processing solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with BI, Analytics, and business teams.
• Lead code reviews, mentor team members, and enforce best practices.
• Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps.

Azure Data Platform

• Azure Data Factory (ADF) – strong expertise
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Databricks (preferred)

Data Engineering

• ETL/ELT pipeline design
• Advanced SQL
• Python / PySpark
• Data warehousing concepts

Integration & Streaming

• API integrations
• Event Hubs / Kafka (preferred)

DevOps & Automation

• Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines)
• Git
• Infrastructure as Code (ARM / Terraform)

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Certifications (Azure Data Engineer / Azure Architect)
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Exposure to Snowflake or Databricks
• Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills
