Senior Financial Information Data Analyst

Overview

At Houston Methodist, the Senior Financial Information Data Analyst position is responsible for identifying appropriate information sources in order to effectively report and evaluate the accuracy of the key data elements in clinical and financial databases. This position generates reports representing statistical/financial information in graphical and other presentation forms, as needed, for operational and financial decision making. The Senior Financial Information Data Analyst position independently partners with client groups to evaluate needs and identify appropriate data sources. This position performs analyses using data for routine monthly reports and for special requests and is responsible for identifying errors, resolving discrepancies and making recommendations in support of routine operations of assigned financial and/or operational area. Responsibilities

• Effectively and proactively communicates with all stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner.

• Maintains department level or hospital level systems by the addition of new data and validation of data as appropriate.
• Generates financial reports (in graphical and other presentation forms as needed) and makes sure they are accurate and released on a timely basis according to established schedules and client needs.
• Performs analyses using data for routine monthly reports and special requests.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field

Work Experience

Three years experience in budget or bolthires accounting and analysis Healthcare experience preferred
