We are seeking Technical Team Leads to oversee quality and delivery for our application-level products. In this role, you will guide a small engineering team of 3-5 people building educational applications that serve thousands of students.
This position functions as a player-coach: you'll spend 50% of your time hands-on developing complex features and 50% mentoring and empowering your team. You establish quality standards, define technical patterns, conduct code reviews with educational feedback, and support engineer development. Team outcomes are your responsibility, not solely your individual contributions.
Small team structure, significant ownership, minimal bureaucracy. Your focus is technical leadership; people management is handled separately.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
